Strangest capture I've ever got!
Went from Melb to Sydney(and back of course!) as a quick errand for my brother. Had to pick up a trailer with go kart and associated bits and pieces. Did that, and on my way home, noticed some wind generators along the freeway. Had to check them out and so kept an eye out for a road/track heading in that general direction. Found a road directly under the wind turbines but this was a bit too far and headed off in the wrong direction too early, but there was a side track off this road not long from the turn off the freeway.. BEWDY! Headed straight up the mountain towards the turbines.. basically 45 and badly eroded due to lots of recent rain.
Lucky I got a 4WD huh? :D Problem was that I was still towing this trailer with go kart in it :P made it up the track.. not even in 4WD, but still worried about the trailer. The trip down was slightly freaky... track still damp and not 100% grippy. lock brakes with trailer, downhill and umm..well this equals loads of trouble!!
Made it back to the freeway fine anyhow.. got some nice images of what may be the most awesome spot I've ever found.

Now!!.. I just need to learn not to drive for so long without sleep.

I'm not a regular mono converter by any means, but even I think this one probably lent itself to mono very nicely.
Was tempted to clone out some of the small spots of cloud to make it look cleaner, but that's not my style. The only thing I had to clone out was my shadow in the immediate foreground. Had it framed to crop it out, but I missed framing for the 16:9 format.. so I cropped to 16:9 and then cloned out the remainder.

Love the title, love the clouds, love the tree and love the b/w setting.
All in all a very nice trip to get this picture but imo totally worth it!
